Excluding Templates, Questions, Formatting
1. From the Edit Scan Settings page you'll see some information on excluding templates and a link to upload a file.
2. Clicking the link will allow you to choose the template from your files.
Below is an example of what a template may look like.
3. Make sure you see the document has been uploaded and that you save your settings.
4. Now, when a student submits a file to this assignment that contains what is included in the template the questions, title, etc. will be ignored automatically and not count towards the similarity percentage. You can see in the screenshot below that the portions of text from our template in this example are ignored and the text has been changed to a shade of gray.
Note: It is possible to add up to 3 templates for assignments.
If you are an admin who would like to exclude a template from all scans at your institution you do so by logging into the admin dashboard (lti.copyleaks.com), clicking Default scan settings, and uploading the document following the same steps as above. Click here to learn more.
