Why doesn’t the percentage shown always match the amount indicated in the highlighted text?

The AI Content Detector looks at prose on a sentence-by-sentence basis. Therefore, while a majority of text may be highlighted in varying shades, you will see a different percentage throughout the text based on the varying levels of AI content that have been detected. Furthermore, when you hover over specific sentences, you will get an even more thorough percentage breakdown of those individual sentences.
