What is code license detection?

A software or code license is a license which tells external parties what they can and can't do with your original source code, similar to a copyright or patent. From this information, users can decide whether or not code is open-sourced, plagiarized, infringing upon a code license, and more. The code license detection feature identifies Copyleaks source code scan results to display a code's license. If no license is found, no license will be displayed. This feature can be found by default on all Copyleaks platforms including the APP, API, and LMS integrations when performing a source code scan.
