Copyleaks for Instructors
Creating an assignment with an automatic plagiarism check

Go to Assignments and click on Add and then fill your assignment information.

On the Submission Type section please select External Tool (LTI) and then under the External Tool (LTI) Options click on Select External Tool (LTI)

In the pop up window fill out your assignment information and then click Save .

To open the Copyleaks Tool, you need to open the assignment and then click on Go to External Tool .

The student user is then able to view the assignment and add a file to be submitted. Submissions are able to be accessed for 2 years.

After a student has submitted a file, the instructor will be able to see it in their assignment view. Instructors are then able to download, scan, and grade the student's submission. If the assignments are not manually scanned by the due date, they will be automatically scanned.

When clicking on the plagiarism score, the user will be redirected to the report
Configure the course options for Copyleaks LTI tool

Go to Site Info then select Manage Tools from the top navigation-bar.

Scroll down to the External Tools section and expand it. Check to toggle on Copyleaks Settings. Then click Continue.

From the next page, click on Finish.
- Change the name of the newly created Lesson to Copyleaks, then click Continue.

Go to Site Info then select Tool Order from the top navigation-bar.

Click on the ⚙ icon on the right side of Copyleaks and Make Tool Invisible to Students . then click Save

Go to Copyleaks and click on Add Content from the top navigation-bar, then select on Add External Tool and then choose Copyleaks Settings.

To view/edit the settings you can click on the tool name (Copyleaks Settings), we suggest editing the tool and change the display option to Embed on page.

You will be taken to Copyleaks Tool Course Settings.
